Trusting GOD to Right the Wrongs

You ever see something grow that you had to walk away from—or worse, were pushed out of? Maybe it was a job, a relationship, or a dream you gave your all to, only to be treated unfairly in the end. And then, somehow, it thrives without you. It's a strange feeling. On one hand, you're glad it's doing what it was supposed to do. On the other, you're angry because of what it cost you.

That's where I've found myself lately. Watching the station where I once gave so much of my heart and time begin to grow. Watching it impact lives. And still sitting with the pain of how I was treated there.

The Catch-22 of Purpose

I know the power of Christian hip-hop music. I know what it does for the brokenhearted, the discouraged, and the lost. I’ve seen how a single song can bring someone back from the edge. And that’s what makes it complicated. Because while I celebrate the good it’s doing, I wrestle with the wrong that happened to me behind the scenes.

It’s the definition of bittersweet.
I want the people to be blessed.
But I still want justice.

When GOD Sees What You Can’t Say

There were moments I cried out to GOD, asking, “Did You see that? Did You hear what they said to me? Why did You let that happen?” And the silence after those questions felt like another wound. But I’ve learned something: silence isn’t absence.

GOD saw it all. Every meeting. Every passive-aggressive comment. Every time I stood up and spoke truth, only to be dismissed. And He hasn't forgotten.

In Romans 12:19, it says, “Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for GOD’s wrath, for it is written: ‘It is mine to avenge; I will repay,’ says the Lord.” That verse has become an anchor for me. Not because I want revenge, but because I trust that GOD is fair. And His timing? Flawless.

Waiting is not just about time; it’s about trust.
It’s trusting that GOD is not only healing my heart but also handling what I can’t.
It’s trusting that He’ll open doors no man can shut—and shut doors no man can open.

And maybe that's the test: can I keep walking in purpose, even when I still feel the sting of the past? Can I cheer for the people being helped by the music, while still trusting GOD to redeem my story?

This isn’t the end of the story. Not for me. Not for you. What happened may have knocked you down, but it won’t keep you there.

Isaiah 61:7 says, “Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance.” I’m holding on to that. Because I believe that the same GOD who allowed me to walk through that storm will also use it to elevate me. Not in spite of it—but because of it.

If you’ve ever been hurt by something that’s still growing without you, I get it. But don’t let that stop your healing. Keep trusting that GOD is working behind the scenes. Keep walking forward in faith.

And when He makes it right—and He will—you won’t just be restored.
You’ll be better, stronger, and more prepared for the blessing He has next.
