Money Can’t Measure Vision
Have you ever had a dream so big that it excited you—until you saw the cost? That was me. I had something placed on my heart, something I knew I was supposed to pursue. But when I looked at the financial investment it would take, doubt crept in. I started doing mental gymnastics, trying to figure out if I could afford it, if it was the right time, if maybe I should just wait.
I almost talked myself out of it. Almost.
But then I remembered something: Since when did money have the final say over what GOD has already approved?
When Money Becomes the Excuse
It’s easy to say, “If I had more money, I would do it.” We convince ourselves that lack of finances is a sign to wait, but often, it’s just fear in disguise. I realized that the money wasn’t actually the issue—my trust was. Was I going to trust my bank account, or was I going to trust GOD?
Philippians 4:19 says, “And my GOD will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” If GOD is the one who placed this dream inside of me, why would He leave me stranded?
Choosing to Move Forward Anyway
So, I made a decision. Instead of letting money be my excuse, I moved forward in faith. I said "yes" before I had it all figured out. And what happened? GOD showed up.
Resources I didn’t expect appeared. Opportunities I wasn’t even looking for found me. Doors I never knocked on opened wide. And it reminded me—GOD doesn’t call us to something without making a way for us to walk in it.
What’s Stopping You?
Maybe you’re in that place right now. There’s something you know you’re supposed to do, but the numbers don’t make sense. You’re hesitating, wondering if it’s even possible. Let me encourage you—don’t let money make your decisions for you.
If GOD gave you the vision, He has already made provision. It may not look the way you expect, but trust that it will come. Your job is to take the first step. His job is to handle the rest.
What dream have you been talking yourself out of because of money? What step can you take today, even if it’s small, to move forward in faith?
Remember, obedience comes first—provision follows. Trust GOD and watch Him work!
